Green Jellÿ is a heavy/alternative metal/punk rock band from Buffalo, New York, New York, that was formed in 1981 under the name Green Jellö. In 1987, the band moved from Buffalo to Los Angeles, California. In 1992, the band changed its name to Green Jellÿ, because it was sued by Kraft Foods for trademark infringement in 1992 (due to the use of "Jellö" in their name).
