Made in Japan, 1980 The floral motifs (peony/chrysanthemum style) symbolize prosperity and longevity. The geometric blue ground pattern adds a layer of craftsmanship. The faceted lid opening is a nice elevated detail you don’t always see. No cracks or flea bites. slight wear along the bottom consistent with vintage use.
