Vintage postcard featuring the Horticultural Hall in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA, which was originally built for the 1876 Centennial Exhibition. The Horticultural Hall was a monumental building designed by Herman Schwartzmann. The hall was part of the Centennial Exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the United States. It was a massive greenhouse structure that housed tropical plants and industrial exhibits during the fair.
