Product Details

Echeveria Variegated Strawberry Ice For bare root succulent imports, the care process differs significantly from traditional plants, as succulents are highly susceptible to rot if given too much water too soon. 1. Inspection and Air Drying Check for Rot: Immediately inspect the stem and roots for dark, mushy spots. If found, trim them with a sterile blade and let the wound "callous" for 2–3 days. Skip the Soak: Unlike other plants, do not soak succulent roots in water upon arrival. They need to stay dry to prevent fungal infections triggered by shipping stress. 2. Potting and Substrate Gritty Mix: Use a highly porous medium (at least 50–70% inorganic material like pumice, perlite, or Bonsai Jack's Succulent & Cactus Soil). Dry Potting: Plant the succulent in completely dry soil. Do not water it immediately after potting. 3. Acclimation for Imports The "Wait to Water" Rule: Wait 5–7 days before the first light watering. This allows any micro-tears in the roots from shipping or planting
