Product Details

1940s. Named The Heart's Calling, this dangling brooch is in excellent vintage condition and highly collectible. With a lot going on, the Dangling Heart Candlestick Telephone Girl brooch measures just under 2 1/2 inches tall including dangling Bow. This jewelry creation was a popular use of tiny bits of scrap copper or other metals, a manufacturing "use it all" patterned method created by Longcraft during WW2 when metals were scarce. These pieces were considered a reasonable and cost-effective "vermeil" look and to date have lasted as bright and shining examples of manufacturing ingenuity. There are a series of these well-made brooches that are desirable collectibles. The pin back on this piece is straight and strong, the clasp locks securely. This dangling candlestick phone piece is rare
