1905-1915 A massive two-piece pressed glass punch bowl featuring the Whirling Star pattern with a scalloped sawtooth rim. Glows Excellent condition with no visible chips to the sawtooth rim or the interlocking base ring, showing high clarity in the glass. Introduced around 1905 by the Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio, this 'Whirling Star' pattern (also known as No. 500) was part of the company's early effort to compete with the highly expensive hand-cut lead crystal of the American Brilliant Period. Using innovative pressing techniques, Imperial achieved a deep, sharp relief that mimicked the look of luxury cut glass at a fraction of the cost.
