Product Details

Up for sale is a breathtaking original sculpture by the acclaimed studio glass artist Anderson Scott. This piece is a masterclass in geometric form, featuring hand-cut and polished facets that act as a prism, reflecting and refracting light from every angle. The heavy, clear crystal gather is of "museum quality" clarity, making the internal movement and reflections appear to shift as the viewer moves around the piece. This is a true "statement" sculpture designed for a pedestal or a focal point in a modern home. Anderson Scott is a master of 'Optical Geometry.' His work is characterized by the use of high-lead crystal, which allows for maximum light refraction. This piece, signed and dated by the artist, represents a peak era of the American Studio Glass movement where artists transitioned from traditional vessels to architectural, non-functional sculpture.

About the Seller
My passion is to figure out signatures on glass, learning about the artist and giving them credit for creating. It’s about matching a signature with a person and matching my glass with a new friend. There is something almost magical about the fact that glass starts as sand, is transformed by fire and human breath, and then "freezes" into these liquid shapes. Unlike a factory-made plastic bowl, you can see the soul of the artist in the tiny imperfections—a single bubble, the way a pontil mark was snapped off, like an umbilical cord being cut. It’s the creation of beauty and art. Spreading the Love by Spreading the GLASS! Trying to turn anybody and everybody into glass collectors! Remember Folks!… “Glass is the new Gold” HUGS -Geri-
