The hall served as a, social hub for Danish and Scandinavian culture, hosting dances, lectures, and union events before being sold to a church in the 1970s, closing in 2001. Establishment: The Detroit lodge was part of the Danish Brotherhood in America, founded in 1882 to preserve culture and provide support for immigrants. The Hall: The Danish Brotherhood Hall was constructed in 1915 for roughly and served as a crucial meeting place, sometimes called the Danish Brotherhood Temple.
