Product Details

A beautifully crafted vintage Mexican sterling silver ring featuring an open filigree and wirework face in the classic Taxco tradition — swirling scrolls, applied silver beads, and a rope-bordered bezel setting hold a warm honey-toned tiger's eye cabochon. The large circular face frames the stone with C-scrolls and beaded accents. The ring is stamped with the Mexican government Eagle assay mark (number 122) — a hallmark used from 1948 to the late 1960s/early 1970s guaranteeing sterling standard — along with the workshop name ARCO and Hecho en Mexico. This places the piece firmly in Mexico's mid-century silver workshop tradition. - Metal: Sterling silver, marked Eagle 122 / ARCO / Hecho en Mexico - Stone: Round tiger's eye cabochon, warm honey-brown with natural chatoyancy - Setting: Open filigree scrollwork face with rope bezel - Era: Circa 1948–late 1960s - Shank: Open, adjustable Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate patina. Filigree intact throughout. The stone is secure with good luster. Normal handling wear to the shank.
