This technique created a softer, more antique appearance that became highly desirable. Ridgway Potteries was a prominent English ceramics manufacturer, established in the early 19th century by brothers Job and George Ridgway. They produced a wide range of earthenware and bone china, including popular transfer-printed wares. The "Corey Hill" pattern, often found in polychrome variations, is a well-recognized design from their production, indicative of the era's taste for exotic and scenic motifs.
