vintage anthropomorphic pear and fruit salt and pepper shakers, likely from the Mid-Century Modern (MCM) era. Design: These ceramic shakers feature stylized faces and were popular kitsch kitchen decor from the 1950s and 1960s. Origin: Many similar sets were manufactured in Japan and often included original cork stoppers. Features: They are hand-painted, with one shaker shaped as a smiling pear and the other as a peach or apple, both adorned with painted leaves and facial features. See pictures. Final sale.
