Vintage Spongeware handmade collectible stoneware dish crafted in Paris, Maine.  Features a cream-colored interior, a central spike for holding an apple, and a distinct green spongeware pattern on the rim. Designed specifically for baking individual apples in electric or gas ovens, allowing heat to cook the apple evenly from the inside out.  Crafted from hand-thrown earthenware clay, featuring a durable, ovenproof, dishwasher-safe, and lead-free glaze.
