Just after Christmas 2024 I had surgery to remove what we thought we an external hemorrhoid. A week later I was diagnosed with Anal Mucosa Melanoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. I had another surgery to remove more tissue. My team all told me that even if my scans were clear it would come back aggressively. This past December a lymph node in my groin that we had been watching drastically increased in size. After a biopsy to determine it was the same cancer and a body scan it was found that I had multiple spots on both lungs. Within 40 days those spots double and more showed up. I am currently taking 2 types of immunotherapy treatment to hopefully slow down the growth some but it will not kill it or put me into remission. This is what will cut my life short maybe at 53 hopefully 54 if I make it to my birthday in December.
