Size: 3 to 8 grams (sizes vary) Moldavite is a natural glass, classified as a tektite, formed from terrestrial material melted during a meteorite impact. It originated around 15 million years ago when the impact ejected molten material that cooled rapidly as it fell back to Earth. Its green color is caused by iron and other trace elements within the silica-rich glass. Raw pieces typically display irregular shapes, etched surfaces, and natural pitting from atmospheric cooling and weathering. Each item is unique in shape, color, and pattern. Higher-grade pieces are selected first. Photos represent overall quality and appearance.
