Product Details

Step into the world of the original "Gentleman Thief." This is a beautiful 1908 early edition of "Raffles: Further Adventures of the Amateur Cracksman" published by Charles Scribner’s Sons. Written by E.W. Hornung (the brother-in-law of Arthur Conan Doyle), Raffles was created as the "shadow" to Sherlock Holmes and remains a cornerstone of classic crime fiction. Design & Condition: Cover: Deep burgundy/wine-colored cloth with the classic circular gold-stamped Scribner’s logo on the front. Spine: Gold gilt lettering that still retains its shine. Interior: Features the original frontispiece illustration and clean, aged pages with a nice weight. Condition: Authentic vintage character with honest wear to the top of the spine and corners. Binding is solid. Perfect for a collector of classic mysteries, a "Dark Academia" shelf, or as a moody anchor piece in a vintage book stack.
