1903-S $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagle NGC AU58. This particular example has very nice eye appeal! I am not a grader but I would be inclined to say a re-grade would get an MS60-MS61! Sharp cartwheel around the edges, light bad marks but overall a beautiful example! The San Francisco "S" mint mark on the back is very strong and the beautiful cartwheel luster is even better on the back side! Pre-33 gold is starting to once again find its way into the dark confines of the serious collectors safes as the older generation of collectors start liquidating their collections the newer generations have a unique opportunity to stock up on these beautiful and historic coins! They will only go up in value and get harder and harder to get as the serious collectors lock them away!
