Product Details

As seen on live. Crazing and staining noted. Era and Origin: These pots are antique, typically dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century (pre-1928), and were manufactured in the United Kingdom. Capacity and Use: The crock held one pound (approx. 454g) of marmalade, as noted on the transfer-printed label. Design Details: The rim was designed to hold a fabric or cork cover secured by string, rather than having screw-on threads. Condition Indicators: Genuine pieces often show "crazing," which are tiny cracks in the glaze, as well as potential staining or small chips from age and use. It is quite common for these antique marmalade jars to have no stamp on the bottom. While many authentic pieces are stamped with names like "Maling" or "Pot Made in England," others were produced using different molds that lacked these markings.
