Original pre-WWII U.S. Army photograph showing mechanized cavalry vehicles undergoing repairs in a field service park. Great early armored scene with halftracks, trucks, and soldiers working in the field during the Army’s transition from horse cavalry to mechanized units. Back label reads: “Mechanized Cavalry vehicles undergoing repairs… Ft. Knox, Ky. August 1938. Copy from print furnished by Col. Guy Kent, Office Chief of Cavalry, 8/30/38.” Printed on heavy, high-quality fiber paper with visible weave/texture, consistent with period press/archive copies. Condition: Good. Slight softness to image, light toning, minor handling wear. Label intact. Size: approx 8 x 10 inches
