This is a classic piece of German history from Marzi & Remy. It’s a hand-painted, salt-glazed stoneware jar that still has its original matching lid—which is rare to find! It’s marked with the 'MR' shield and model number 3053. With lid bowl is approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. Please note there is a crack on the top rim of the bowl, see last two pictures.
