Origin: Medi Safe Co., Holyoke, MA (Stamped) Artist/Decorator: Signed "JR" in cobalt script on the base. Special Feature: Four original ventilation holes on the back—designed to release medicinal or antiseptic vapors (like camphor) into a sickroom. Decoration: Classic blue cobalt spongeware/spatterware on a salt-glazed stoneware body. Era: Circa 1880–1910. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, no cracks, vibrant blue..
