This leaded stained glass panel has a Gold/Amber colored cross with a multi color background featuring various textured stained glass. It has top mounted hooks with a chain for hanging - however you may use other types of hooks and mounting hardware if desired. An Eye hook and S hook are include for mounting inside of a window frame if desired. Other hanging methods can be used. The included Jack chain is adjustable in length by removing links as needed. *Please don’t try hanging this panel using a suction cup hook due to the weight. This makes a wonderful gift or can be displayed in your own home. I attempt to show the actual colors in the photographs, but may vary depending on your viewing device. Size measurements are approximately 9 1/2” x11 1/2” including frame (see photos for measurements). Materials: -glass -copper foil -solder -Jack chain -hanging hooks -copper patina or black patina -wax (to polish glass and solder) -white gloss paint The glass panel is made using traditional stained glass techniques where glass is cut, shaped and smoothed on a diamond head grinder, then copper foil is applied to the pieces and they are soldered together and covered with a copper patina or black patina and waxed in my studio. Copper patina panel will look copper in color and black will appear like a darker metal finish. Each panel we make is custom framed and painted and mounted in the frame with a custom made wood molding on the back for open back frames or a custom channel style frame is made to fit depending g on wood availability. Painted frames are normally painted on both sides to enhance the look from the outside as well. Most frames are made from poplar, mahagony or oak woods. Some frames are vintage frames that are repurposed and cut to fit the glass panel, so some of these designs can’t be made into future windows panels if looking for matching window panels in the future.
