vintage ceramic cookie jar shaped like a chicken wearing a bonnet, often referred to as "Mrs. Chicken with Her Market Basket". The jar features cold-painted details, including a red bow, a blue bonnet, and yellow beak. It is a collectible item, with some versions featuring crazing (fine cracks in the glaze) and paint wear due to age. The manufacturer is sometimes identified as Doranne of California, marked as model C J-103. Similar farmhouse-style kitchen canisters were popular in the mid-century era. I was told it was from 1940’s.
