A beautiful antique Federal-period tabernacle (pier) wall mirror dating back to the early 19th century (circa 1810–1840). This classic piece features architectural split-column pilasters on the sides and a prominent stepped cornice top. The standout feature is the upper glass tablet, which features a hand-painted, reverse-painted (verre églomisé) landscape scene depicting a historic castle and bridge over a river. This mirror features a handsome, dark-stained ebonized wood finish that adds immediate vintage character to any entryway, gallery wall, or mantel.
