Product Details

Bacchus in bottle-green. A full baluster jug smothered in high-relief grapevine. SPECS - Maker: Wedgwood, "Of Etruria & Barlaston, Made in England" - Date: c. 1940s-1950s (Etruria & Barlaston mark) HISTORY Wedgwood revived its 19th-century green majolica at the new Barlaston works (opened 1940). The Grape & Vine jug is one of the most recognisable shapes in the line — the largest stands about 7.75in. Most were glazed in this rich solid green; multicoloured examples are far scarcer.
