The Madonna Inn is a famous restaurant and hotel in San Luis Obispo, California. Madonna Inn goblets are kind-of a big deal. Not only are they a staple in our restaurants and shops, but also in the hearts (and cupboards) of so many guests who treasure them for their timeless beauty and charm. It wasn’t until the mid-1970s that Mr. and Mrs. Madonna found a “Flat Rose” design from the LG Wright Glass Company which complimented the Inn’s whimsical interior design. A little over a decade later, Mr. Madonna decided to commission a custom-designed goblet that would better match the now-signature rose carpeting. The molds used to make these new and improved Madonna Inn goblets were later trademarked and used exclusively for Madonna Inn; the mold aptly-named the “Madonna Rose,” with a thicker and smoother finish that its earlier counterpart.
