Title: Vintage Early Unmarked Emma Clear "Baby Stuart" Bisque Doll – c. 1939-1941Description:This is a highly collectible, master-level artist reproduction of the famous German Gebrüder Heubach "Baby Stuart" (Mold 7977) character doll. Expertly crafted by renowned American doll pioneer Emma Clear during her early workshop period (late 1930s to early 1940s), this piece predates her later signed works.The doll features a beautifully painted matte bisque head with an intricate molded floral bonnet and a classic "pouty" expression. The head is completely free of chips, cracks, or restorations. It is built on a premium, heavy-weight cotton sateen/linen fabric body that is densely packed with authentic vintage filler (feels very solid and heavy, completely ruling out modern polyester fill). Features meticulous workshop machine seams and hand-stitched "flop-joint" articulation at the hips for easy sitting. Includes original knit socks and tie-up shoes.
