The stunning design is struck in one ounce of 999.9 fine silver  with limited-edition mintage of 5,000. First issued in 1847, the original Gothic Crown design was engraved by master craftsman William Wyon at the very peak of his career. Influenced by a renewed interest in the art of the Middle Ages that became known as the Gothic Revival, Wyon’s design immediately drew praise for its astonishing beauty.
