"The Resolution" is a famous watercolor painting created around 1775 by the British Royal Navy officer and hydrographer Henry Roberts. This is a vintage print of that painting and depicts the HMS Resolution, the famous flagship sloop used by Captain James Cook during his second and third historic voyages of discovery across the Pacific Ocean. Roberts painted this piece while serving directly as a midshipman aboard the vessel. It is approximately 21 by 17 inches and has some water damage as you can see in the photos.
