Designed during the late 1940s golden era under head designer Frank Hess, this highly dimensional, multi-tiered dome brooch features intricate silver-tone floral filigree petals. The center and outer petals are accented with beautifully faceted metallic hematite glass rhinestones that mimic the dark, elegant shimmer of antique marcasite.The reverse features the highly coveted, authentic raised "MIRIAM HASKELL" horseshoe cartouche signature integrated perfectly into the design. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The structural hand-wiring is completely firm and secure. All rhinestones are original and securely intact. The silver-tone metal finish is exceptionally clean with no green verdigris, corrosion, or tarnish. Pin mechanism functions smoothly. Measurements: approximately 2 inches in diameter.
