This is a fantastic, 50+ year-old piece of vintage Americana craft history. The clean, crisp handwriting incised into the clay shows it was made by a skilled hobbyist or studio artist rather than mass-produced in a factory. The slight yellowing and age spots on the clothing lace make perfect sense for textiles preserved since the early 1970s. 16” tall.
