Here we are now!!! $5 Fire The Queens Rack!!! ________ About Our Store I am a new seller and in hopes of building a wonderful business here on Whatnot. It all starts with you the most important part of my business. I started a jewelry business ($5 Fire) 4 years ago after retirement. I decided to liquidate my huge wardrobe…. That’s when The Queen’s Rack was born. My intention was to just sell my work suits and separates for $5!!! That’s how we got started! _____________ The History About Me I started out as a candy seller in middle school! I liked the feel of it….when people would come looking for me to shop with me and of course… I liked the proceeds!!! We were poor and I couldn’t afford to go on school field trips like Cedar Point or the YMCA! My candy sells made that happen! So, from there, I was determined to have a hustle, a business!!! I got a job in the automotive industry right out of high school. After 25 years, they filed bankruptcy and closed. I worked with my dad and rental properties and became a builder! No, I went to school for that! Since 16, I’ve also been a publisher. I did everything from greeting cards to obituaries, invitations, T-shirts, photography, videography, everything… the whole gambit, even putting colored photos on headstones. At 15, I learned to prepare income taxes… (that was very profitable and I was able to help a lot of people!!! I had a lot of irons on the fire!). I also was able to concentrate more with my charities, Detroit Mid-City Lions Club, Church of the Living God and Habitat for Humanity. __________ Rejoining the workforce I got back into the work force… I became a housekeeper and quickly moved into a supervisor and then a manager. I became a safety champion, a manager of a huge account at a major chemical facility and advanced to a major hospital!!! My hard work rewarded me a wonderful Corporate job and became an assistant director, Office manager, interim director, director of special programs… trainer…. Project manager, I’ve done so many things. I managed corporate accounts for several major companies! I really liked showing them what I could do! Now in retirement, I decided to be a jewelry lady!!! That’s where the name $5 Fire came from! ____________ My Re-start after retiring I realized that I needed to keep busy. I started a small jewelry business… ($5 Fire) later, I also later decided to sell my huge wardrobe! I have a huge collection of new and pre-loved business attire, casual, and sports clothes for the entire family… I also have new scrubs and dockers… That’s where The Queen’s Rack came in to play…. I found out about Whatnot …And then the electronics came in…then housewares, make up, skin care, perfumes and colognes etc.! __________ Charity I’m still active in my charities. I make baskets and personal care packs for those in need.
