Product Details
Cuban Oregano (Plectranthus amboinicus) Cuban oregano is a fragrant, easy-to-grow perennial herb with thick, velvety leaves and a spreading growth habit. Its leaves have a strong aroma reminiscent of oregano, thyme, and mint, making it a popular culinary herb in many tropical and subtropical regions. It thrives in containers, raised beds, and garden landscapes, preferring well-draining soil and bright light. Once established, it is relatively drought tolerant and low maintenance. Traditional Uses: Cuban oregano has been used for generations in traditional herbal practices. The leaves are commonly used in teas and home remedies for respiratory support, sore throats, coughs, digestive discomfort, and colds. Some cultures also use the crushed leaves topically for minor skin irritations and insect bites.
