Product Details
The classic cobalt and black nazar, the most recognised form of the Turkish evil eye. In Turkish culture, blue is the colour that guards against harm, reflecting negative energy away from the wearer. In Türkiye a nazar is pinned to newborns, hung by the front door, and carried for safe travel. Mavi means blue. This is the timeless one. Woven in Buldan, Denizli, a town in western Türkiye that has been weaving since around 800 BC and once supplied cloth to the Ottoman court. Made using Buldan's traditional weaving technique, which gives the cloth its distinctive soft, textured handle. Each robe is then printed entirely by hand using carved stone blocks, pressed one at a time, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Lightweight yet durable, breathable, and softer with every wash. 100% cotton, fringed edges, generous kaftan cut.
