Vintage Vallauris Amora Dijon mustard pot. Features a rich brown ceramic glaze with raised, embossed lettering that reads "AMORA DIJON" across the front. It has a distinctive yellow-glazed rim at the neck and a matching brown lid. There are No chips along the yellow-glazed rim and the inner notch. No chips or hairline fractures on the jar. The bottom of the jar shows table ware on some of the letters. In France, these stoneware pots were originally sold pre-filled with mustard. Once empty, they were frequently saved and reused as condiment servers or kept as rustic kitchen decor. Produced during the 1950s and 1960s. Measures approximately 4" to top of lid. xxvi.p
