Vintage handmade studio pottery oil lamp, titled "Jesus Is the Light," originally crafted by the artisan studio The Potter's Mark (associated with the artist Rusterholtz). Vibrant cobalt blue band with a hand-incised script circling the center. Speckled tan stoneware clay body finished with a rustic salt‐glaze. The small looped handle or opening at the top rim is designed to hold and feed a cotton fiber wick down into the lamp base. When filled with standard lamp oil or olive oil, it functions as a traditional oil candle lamp. The original cotton fiber wick is not included. Measures approx 5.5" tall. Made 1989 xxvi.a
