Original WWII snapshot photograph showing wrecked Japanese aircraft on Guadalcanal, British Solomon Islands. Handwritten album caption reads, "What's left of some Jap Zero's after Joe Foss hit the Solomons." Reverse is identified "Jap Zero's on Guadalcanal, B.S.I. Aug. 8, 1942." Approx. 4 x 5 inches. Original vintage print removed from an old album page. Photo is not glued down and can be removed and replaced without damage. Sold with the original captioned album page shown. Very good vintage condition with typical age-related wear, handling marks, and album storage wear. Please review all photos carefully for condition and details.
