Product Details
The company was incorporated in Arizona and maintained offices at Congress Junction, a railroad settlement in Yavapai County that served as the transportation hub for the rich gold-mining districts around Congress, Stanton, and Yarnell. Congress Junction grew rapidly after the arrival of the Santa Fe, Prescott & Phoenix Railway in the 1890s and became the shipping point for ore, supplies, and passengers serving the nearby mines. The company was associated with the extensive gold-mining activity surrounding the famous Congress Mine district. The district was one of Arizona's leading gold producers, and the success of the nearby Congress Mine attracted investors from across the United States. Congress Mine itself became Arizona's largest gold producer and helped create the towns of Congress and Congress Junction.
