Obv: Diademed head of Juba II right; legend REX IVBA Rev: Cornucopia before scepter; crescent upper left — rare variant with scepter oriented from upper left to lower right and crescent in upper left field Ref: SNG Cop. 582; MAA 95; Mazard 245-246 VF. Scratched, Cleaned, Well struck. Ex Fritz Rudolf Künker eLive Auction 79, 2023, Lot 7128 (subsequently cleaned); ex Collection Dr. Kurt Conzen (1925–1997). This denarius of Juba II, client king of Numidia under Rome, represents a scarce die variant in which the scepter and crescent on the reverse are mirror-positioned relative to the standard type.
