Beautiful 1864 Letter From Captain Joseph F Green Captain of the USS John Adams to Captain J K Crosby of the USS Harvest Moon. Crosby was serving on board the USS Housatonic and went down with the ship in February after it was sunk by the Confederate Submarine Hunley before being pulled from the water. The letter also mentions Rear Admiral Dahlgren of Civil War Fame. Great content of major players in the Charleston SC area during the blockade and Hunley attack. The letter is beautifully written and one page so displays nicely. Dates and signed.
