Fürstenberg porcelain commemorative plate with a perforated rim. 7 1/4” Circa 1950-1990 The Fürstenberg porcelain manufactory was founded in 1747 in Donchery, France, and is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Germany. It is known for its high-quality porcelain and artistic designs, often drawing inspiration from historical artworks and motifs. The company has a long tradition of producing decorative and functional porcelain pieces. This particular plate features a design based on the work of A.A. Beck, an 18th-century engraver from Brunswick, Germany, whose work dates from 1713-1787. The plate itself is a porcelain model from around 1800, indicating it's a later reproduction of an earlier design. The "WEST-GERMANY" marking on the back suggests it was produced after World War II and before German reunification in 1990.
