this is a highly collectible antique Catholic "Memento Mori" pectoral crucifix, commonly dating from the late 19th century Origin: Made in Germany (Crisp "GERMANY" stamp located on the lower back rim). Era: Circa 1900–1930s. Materials: Silver-plated brass framework housing a flush, dark ebony wood or horn center inlay. Real mechanical rivet construction. Design Elements: Features a detailed 3D corpus of Christ, an INRI scroll banner, and a classic Memento Mori skull and crossbones emblem at the base. Condition Note: Shows a stunning, authentic aged patina to the metal framework.
