Part of the major Knightfall crossover saga, specifically during the Knightquest: The Crusade chapter "The Cutting Room Floor," the Joker produces a movie called "The Death of Batman". He uses classic cinema monsters—like Frankenstein's monster, a mummy, and a werewolf—to ambush the Dark Knight while tracking his fighting style. The Joker quickly realizes this violent, mechanized Batman is not the traditional hero he used to fight.
