April 10th 2024 ,our lives changed forever when our sweet 9-month-old son, Breyer, was diagnosed with a brain tumor called Pilocytic Astrocytoma.His tumor is intertwined within his optic nerves, pituitary gland, and spinal cord, making treatment incredibly complex. Since his diagnosis, Breyer has undergone four brain surgeries, multiple chemotherapy treatments, countless procedures, and many lengthy hospital stays. Most recently, he began a targeted therapy treatment that has shown the most promising results so far, and we remain hopeful as we continue this journey. Along the way, Breyer has faced challenges no child should ever have to face. He receives all of his nutrition through a feeding tube,he has a port and also has a permanent VP shunt placed. Yet despite everything he has endured, Breyer remains the happiest little boy. His smile can light up an entire room, and his resilience leaves us in awe every single day.
