Note from owner: "String of two camel bells, very worn and apparently old. Heavy, blackened brass with crude crisscross design. Larger bell about 9”, or 10” circle loop through handle; diameter 5 ¾”. Smaller bell about 5”. Design of these two bells match, indicating that they have belonged together from their origin, but hook inside smaller bell indicating that there must have been at least one bell and possibly others. Apparently, at some time, this has been a part of some else’s collection because it has the number “71” plainly marked inside the larger bell. Purchased by us at “Country Antiques: in the French Quarter, around the corner from Dupree’s."
