Step back in time with this early 20th-century phonograph cylinder. Oxford Records were famously sold through the Sears catalog and are highly collectible for their unique history and association with Columbia’s early recording technology. Artist/Track: John J. Kimmel (Accordion Solo), "Medley of Reels No. 2." Kimmel was a pioneer in Irish-American music recordings. Format: Standard size black wax cylinder. Compatibility: Designed to fit Graphophones, Phonographs, or other "Talking Machines" using standard size cylinder records. Packaging: Includes the original Oxford Records cardboard storage tube. The tube features the classic "Oxford Records are Good Records" branding and still has the handwritten "Accordion Solo" label on the lid. Condition: The cylinder appears glossy with clean grooves.
