Product Details
Vintage Skookum-style Native American folk doll, approximately 12 inches in length, with classic early construction. This doll features a carved and hand-painted head with a calm, expressive face and applied dark hair. The body is straw stuffed, visible beneath the hairline and within the torso, consistent with early Skookum / Bully Good–style dolls. The clothing consists of an original wool blanket wrap in muted purple, rust, and gray tones with hand stitching, worn naturally from age and handling. Feet are hand-formed with painted decoration. The doll remains solid and intact with no major breaks or modern repairs noted. No maker’s mark is present, so it is being sold as Skookum-style rather than attributed to Bully Good. This is a display piece, and fits well in collections of vintage dolls, folk art, or early Americana. Vintage condition with expected wear: Surface wear and paint loss consistent with age Original clothing, hair, and stuffing No box Approximately 12 inches long.
