Product Details

A heartfelt journey told through songs and first-hand accounts from the pre-crash mania through the plight of the Dustbowl "Okies", the folks who rode the rails in search of work and the eventual recovery of our nation. A timely subject, this revue paints the emotions of a country in economic turmoil and how the music of Hollywood and Tin Pan Alley reflected the commonality. This album features Bill Daugherty, Deborah Tranelli, Christina Morrell, Morgan Weishar (West), Jennafer Newberry and Jabari Brisport. Doyle Newmyer serves as musical director with John Loehrke on bass and Spiff Wiegand on guitar, fiddle and banjo. This show won critical acclaim and was held over when it ran Off-Broadway at the Triad Theater in NYC in 2010.

About the Seller
Love photos of what I call Handsome Dead Boys (HDBs). Not dead then - but likely dead now - men, teens and boys. All walks of life - military, college, sports, beach, boy scouts. Also into vintage ads and magazine covers that suggest homo-eroticism, overtly handsome men, boys swimming (Iverd, Leyendecker, etc.) I'm also an avid collector of vintage Hollywood memorabilia, signed photos, movie posters as well as antique phonographs, jukeboxes and records.
