Antique Chinese cast bronze censer bowl featuring high relief foo dog and dragon motifs with an impressed Qianlong reign mark to the underside. The bowl features applied mythological creatures in dynamic high relief surrounding the exterior, giving it strong scholar object and incense censer appeal. The underside bears a four-character Qianlong mark (“Qianlong Nian Zhi” / “Made during the Qianlong years”). While the mark references the Qianlong period, the piece is being sold as an antique Chinese bronze in the traditional style rather than guaranteed imperial period manufacture. It has not been appraised or authenticated officially.
