Tampa Bay agatized corals are highly prized, 25- to 38-million-year-old fossils where silica-rich waters have replaced ancient coral skeletons with chalcedony and quartz. Famous for their intricate patterns and hollow, crystal-lined geode cavities, they serve as the official state fossil of Florida. Hand Selected stock 1 1/4 x 2 3/8 inches this would be a great addition to any collection. The black in this specimen is rare as well.
