Light: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Morning or late afternoon sun is ideal, but avoid intense midday rays that can scorch the leaves. If you want to develop striking dark margins or deep red "sun stress" on the leaves, place it in the brightest indirect light possible. Soil: Use a very loose, chunky, and well-draining epiphytic mix. A blend of standard potting soil with generous amounts of perlite and orchid bark is highly recommended. Water: Water only when the top few inches of the soil—or the entire pot—has nearly dried out. Overwatering leads to root rot, which is the most common killer of Hoyas. A great trick is to water when the long, bean-like leaves begin to feel slightly soft or wrinkled. Temperature & Humidity: Keep your plant in a comfortable environment between 65°F and 85°F.
